RólamI obviously love reading but have not been doing as much as I would like of late, and not just because when reading in bed my cat thinks the best place to sleep is any spot that's located between the book and my face.
Recently I have joined the 50 book challenge in the hope setting a goal will get me back on reading track. If all else fails I will resort to my Terry Pratchett books which never fail to reignite the reading passion.

I like to read all types of books but my preference runs to fantasy, quirky, and funny books. Anything that combines all three is a winner hands down. I like both adult and young adult books and I am prepared to read just about anything, though I do draw the line at car manuals.
I also enjoy watching movies, tv, anime, gardening, traveling, and photography not necessarily in that order.

What else? well I suck at selling myself so I am going to stop here.
A könyvtáramrólIf the book does not have a star rating it is not read. When I have finished a book I will put a star rating up. I will tag a book wish list for future release books that I WILL be buying, Public Library for any books from my local library, and TBR anything sitting on my shelf unread. Simple really.

I returned Friday night from a trip to Colorado with my sister which was nice. We had a good time aside from the usual crazy things that happen on vacations. Well, back to work today.

I just joined the Library Thing and was navigating to whatever got my attention, mostly things connected to science or science-related but I came across your comment that you were trying to expand yuor horizons. So I thought I'd write, in the hope you'd be interested in what I've added below.
Anyway my own book Convergence documents the surprisingly cut-throat world of science and reflects the real-world experiences of tens of thousands of young researchers everywhere. There are four main storylines, each involving a woman seemingly unrelated to the other three. Convergence begins by slowly taking the reader into the world of science and discovery, an apparently benign culture full of supportive people. However, despite the moral purity of the four main protagonists, sinister undercurrents undermine each storyline as the novel progresses. Thus, although starting out purely as a science mystery, Convergence develops into a slow-burning political drama. At the core of the novel are ethical and moral issues that are frequently revisited throughout the book, echoing similar themes contained within The Demon Haunted World and Contact (by Carl Sagan).
Subject to availability, a limited number of free copies of Convergence have been set aside for review purposes. Send email to Christopher Turner at general@convergence-cpt.com if you wish to have a free copy for review. Please mention Library Thing in the body of your email.
Thanks.
Christopher.
