Yes, they are sweet peas from my garden, along with bachelor buttons and cannas.
Hi, JoLynn. It looks like you are a fellow Elizabeth Goudge fan, and perhaps a Georgette Heyer fan as well? Good Omens is a favorite, and The Little Grey Men was one of my favorite books in my grandmother's bookshelves.
Glad you enjoyed the selections! Happy New Year and happy reading!
Hi and happy holidays! Thanks for the great selection of books! :^)
You made suggestions that ended up being the books sent to me by SantaThing. I was surprised and intrigued by them, which means they met all my expectations by a lot. I had, of course, heard of both of them, but neither had really made it onto my radar, let alone my wish list. So, very well done, you! And the 2013 Challenge is featuring John Fowles this year, so I'll save that one and join in happily. Thank you for taking the time to choose such great books. I look forward to reading them!
Nice Santathing choices. Nice library.

O.K. I found Gladys M. and recognize her as an author I've passed over just because I have so much STUFF unread. My love for mysteries has cooled a little, more because LT has introduced me to so much else rather than because I'm out of love with them. I gobbled them down like peanuts when I was teaching and couldn't concentrate on anything very demanding. Now I tend to like them dark and dirty - I've started my first Denise Mina, and she's all that and a bag of peanuts.
Love those sweet pups!

Jolynn, thank you for thinking my library is interesting!!! I see I'm in some good company and also that we have a lot of good stuff in common.
Voss was my first Patrick White, and I've been a devotee ever since! I also see that we share a number of favorites; Gladys Mitchell is the only one that I don't know and love of those you've mentioned. I'm off to see who she is and why I don't recognize her name.
Drop by again! I'll be looking for your posts among the Viragoes.
