I've just read your review of 'Of Human Bondage'. Not that it matters anything but I must say that I fully agree with you. It's interesting that you've had some very similar experiences with the book as I have myself; only you've written about them in a much finer style. My thoughts and impressions I have expressed in my "review"; they are indeed pretty much the same as yours but written with intolerable verbosity.
Anyway, it's always nice to read an intelligent, sensible and well written review of a book by Maugham, doesn't matter if I completely agree or disagree with it. Infinitely more important, I think, is that the books of Somerset Maugham still stimulate people to read and think. I'd be interested to know if you have read any other books of Maugham and what your reflections about them are.
